J.F. Gregory Park
Virtual Tour of Wetland Education Center and Trail
J.F. Gregory Park is a unique park operated by the City of Richmond Hill and dominated by a ten-acre lake and a 300-acre rice field that predates the Civil War.
This 35-acre multi-use recreational area, located adjacent to the City Hall and Public Safety complex in downtown Richmond Hill, is the ideal setting for weekend picnics, an afternoon stroll or jog, canoeing, birding (warblers, waders, and waterfowl of all types), fishing, hiking, or those annual family reunions in the pavillion.
A fascinating 3-mile walking trail was built on top of a dike that encompasses the historic rice field which today is a wooded wetland. Look for otters, beavers, alligators, and armadillos while walking the trail.
